I am passionate about serving my clients in the fields of family law and criminal defense. Throughout the process of obtaining my undergraduate degree in Charleston, South Carolina and later my law degree in Eugene, Oregon, I have focused on gaining the skills necessary to best serve my clients in a fast-paced legal environment.
Throughout my legal education, I focused on skills that would serve my clients even before obtaining my law license. As an undergraduate, I worked with the Juvenile Arbitration Program where I served as an arbitrator emphasizing a community driven approach to the resolution of juvenile crimes. During law school I gained experience prosecuting and defending misdemeanor crimes at the Lane County District Attorneys office and the Southern Oregon Public Defender’s office.
Although I now practice almost exclusively in the field of family law, my diverse legal work experience in criminal defense and civil litigation provides a foundation to approach high-conflict interpersonal issues, business valuation and partition, and high asset property division.
I take a client-based approach to my practice so my clients can examine their options and make an informed decision. Although each case requires a slightly different approach, whether that entails a measured settlement position, or more aggressive ligation tactics, the single underlying concept behind my practice is clear, concise and prompt communication.
Before joining Harris Law Firm, I ran C. J. Weber Law focusing on family law, landlord tenant dispute and criminal defense.
