Mr. Luby is of counsel to Harris Law firm and a partner in the Luby/Daraee Law Group, LLC. Mr. Luby shares office space with Harris Law Firm at the Tualatin office, but is not a member of the Harris Law Firm

Personal Background

Originally from Framingham, Mass., Kevin moved to Oregon in 1984 after graduation from Notre Dame Law School. He and his wife have two children and stay very active in the community. In addition to his family, Kevin’s interests include music, reading, exercise and yubi lakpi.

Professional Background

After spending his early formative years in Portland, Kevin has spent most of the past 24 years practicing in Washington County. His practice involves both litigation and transactional matters. The majority of the commercial litigation involves construction disputes and he represents property owners, contractors and suppliers. Kevin’s transactional practice involves creating and maintaining various business entities, the purchase and sale of real property and businesses and employment issues. His clients include contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, advertising agencies, dentists, musicians, retailers, insurance agencies, employers and employees.

Kevin has built a successful law practice while developing a reputation as an aggressive, honest and practical advocate for his clients. He has tried numerous cases throughout the State, as well as arbitrations, administrative hearings and mediations. He has successfully prosecuted and defended a wide range of jury and bench trials.

While he only occasionally takes cases to the appellate courts, Kevin has received successful appellate decisions in the following cases: Benj. Franklin Federal Savings and Loan Association v. Phillips, 88 Or App 354 (1987); Alliance Corp. v. HBE Corp., 149 Or. App. 593 (1997); Resources Northwest, Inc. v. Crothers, 154 Or. App. 24 (1998); Resources Northwest Inc. v. Rau, 173 Or. App. 500 (2001); Cornelius Manor Trailer Court v. Esch, 191 Or. App. 204 (2003)
