My strong interest in practicing law was kindled as a young teen after watching the film To Kill a Mockingbird. Energized by the portrayal of Atticus Finch, a defense attorney during the Great Depression, my passion for equitable and fair justice was born.
Studying at the University of Oregon, I pursued a pre-law and Political Science curriculum. During my time in Eugene, I learned about numerous inequities inherent in our criminal justice system, and I entered law school wanting to make a difference by representing those in need.
In the fall of 2017, I was fortunate to enter the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. As a first-year law student, I worked at the Arizona Attorney General's Office within the Child and Family Protective Division, where exercising our legal system, I assisted in shielding vulnerable children from potential abuse.
During my second year of law school, I served the City of Phoenix in its Public Defender's Office as an extern, where I advised clients of relevant constitutional rights prior to judicial hearings.
Most recently, I had the privilege of working for the Portland personal injury firm of Kafoury & McDougal, where I provided support for high-profile cases.
As a new member of the Harris Velázquez Gibbens team, I will utilize my energies, education and experience in pursuit of the best possible outcome for my clients.
In my spare time you can find me ardently rooting for the Oregon Ducks and Portland Trailblazers or hiking the beautiful trails of the Pacific Northwest.
