Professional Experience

Licensed to practice law in both Washington and Oregon, I am dedicated to serving all individuals accused of a crime. During law school, I worked with individuals who had gone through the conviction process, promoting prisoner’s rights, mentoring juvenile offenders, and working with folks associated with the Prison Rape Elimination Act. As I became more familiar with the experiences of the incarcerated, I became invested in reducing individuals’ exposure to the criminal justice system altogether, and my practice has been focused on criminal defense since 2013.

I started my practice with The Defender Association, a public defender firm in Seattle, Washington, working on felony cases, and later, misdemeanor domestic violence cases. I later went into solo practice taking a diverse misdemeanor caseload in Tacoma, Washington before working in private practice, representing clients on DUIIs, misdemeanors, and felonies, where I gained significant trial experience.

Today, I offer a judgment-free, evidence-based approach to criminal cases, focusing on what the State has to prove, what evidence the State has, and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the case from all angles. It is important to me to meet clients where they are at, and provide individualized counsel that best suits what clients’ articulated goal is on their matter, and adopt that goal as my own. I am proud to say I have had hundreds of clients who I have been able to help get favorable outcomes on their cases.
